Vision in manufacturing
Support for companies wishing to evaluate modern vision systems and processing algorithms for metrology and detection in their production environment
Over Vision in manufacturing
With this project, Flanders Make wants to respond to the current need for support among companies that want to evaluate modern vision systems and processing algorithms for metrology and detection in their production environment. The aim is to consolidate the available expertise gained within vision projects into clear, low-threshold applications via translation research, to demonstrate the possibilities via concrete machine vision demos aimed at industrial production, and to disseminate these activities widely via various channels.
The target audience for this are industrial manufacturing companies and their wider value chain that lack the capacity for exploratory research on possible new machine vision techniques, and benefit from automation of steps in the inspection process due to visual interaction currently lacking or happening with human operators. Given the wide applicability of vision techniques in modern production environments, this is a broad target group. Specifically, the target group consists of end users (SMEs and large companies in the secondary sector that benefit from implementing vision technology in the production and inspection process,), technology developers, and technology service companies (SMEs offering technical support and integration in industrial automation.
