Transforming to condition-based maintenance offers numerous benefits and opportunities for companies. By shifting from reactive to predictive maintenance, companies can save time and costs. However, this transformation isn't just about upgrading hardware and software. It's also important to evaluate the existing knowledge within a company.
Determining current and required competencies isn't always straightforward. That's why Flanders Make, in collaboration with BEMAS and KUL Campus Bruges, has launched a project with the support of the European Union (ESF). The project aims to assist companies and employees in expanding their competencies to manage the digitalization of machines, production lines, and installations.
Through the project, demonstrators of previously developed Living Labs will serve as experience centers to introduce employees to the digitalization of machines in an engaging manner. These centers will provide insight into the competencies required, enabling companies to map their training courses accordingly.
