Adaptive and flexible 3D scanning for fast product inspection

3D scanners are very slow in scanning complex geometries. At Flanders Make, we have developed an algorithm to make a 3D scanner more than 25% faster by developing an adaptive scanning strategy via CAD information of the object. We demonstrate this technique on several product designs, and show the speed gain over traditional scanning strategies.
