Autonomous tractor
A tractor that drives across a field without a driver and gets to work there independently still sounds like future music, but it will be a reality in a few years. We developed the first self-propelled tractor in our country that can take over all kinds of tasks from the farmer. During the fruit harvest, for example, it places empty crates next to the field. Once they are filled with fruit, it picks them up again and places them in a truck. Such technological innovation can help farmers work more efficiently and address labour shortages in the sector. Flanders Make is also working on other specially equipped vehicles, such as smart forklifts, which can perform tasks independently in all kinds of production environments.
